Tiverton 1st is a grassroots community organization open to all who support preserving our quality of life in Tiverton by maintaining both our community and school services in a fiscally-responsible way, and promoting cooperation, compromise and community pride.
Membership is open to all Tiverton residents who are at least 18 years old & support Tiverton 1st's principles & goals (non-residents or those under 18 years old are welcome to join as non-voting members). Candidates for local races, or State Representative & Senate candidates representing Tiverton, who would like to be considered for a recommendation by Tiverton 1st are encouraged to email responses by September 30 to:

1) What budget did you support in the 2014 Financial Town Referendum and why?  

2) How do you balance economic growth with the preservation of natural resources and the rural character of the town?

3) How would you engage in issues where there are differences of opinion without dividing the town and undermining Tiverton’s social fabric? 

4) How do you balance trying to provide services with keeping taxes reasonable?

5) If we haven’t covered above, take this opportunity of let us know what other issues are important to you (for or against).
